ArchiCantiores is a troupe who perform words and music live in support of listed buildings. “Bright the Vision – Rossini & Friends” on 17th October is both a concert live-streamed from Holy Cross Church Cromer Street and a chorus workshop from there earlier the same afternoon.
True to Rossini’s original 1864 chamber/drawing room original score, that is, 12 singers, 2 pianos – 1 Harmonium – Director: Doug Tang, the message of hope and the B.Fest vision will be carried by pairing the Petite Messe Solennelle with a complementary set of romantic period motets and anthems – Berlioz, Bruckner, Elgar, Stanford etc. – about visions and glories and dreams and fantasies.
